This is a beautiful example of a successful assemblage proposed by Hervé Dantan, chef de cave at Lanson (Reims), based on three vintages (we tasted 2002, 2004 and 2005). Opening this elegant cuvée was a pleasant surprise. We found a straw-yellow champagne with fine, but energetic bubbles. A complex nose, with a mix of pears, floral honeysuckle and candied citrus, but also with notes of buttery croissant and biscuit. On the palate you will be seduced by its full, rich body and a clear finish with the characteristic freshness of Lanson. Very nice aftertaste with a good balance of cleansing citrus.
